About the Lodge

On October 16, 1950, a group of twelve Master Masons convened by Brother J. C. Waldie met in the office of “Wm. Waldie and Sons” in Castlegar.

At this meeting Worshipful Brother W. L. Wright presided. Brother W. H. Houston acted as Secretary.

An organization committee consisting of Brother Wright, Brother Waldie and Brother Houston was appointed. The new Twin Rivers Hall was chosen as a suitable Lodge Hall and it was decided that the Lodge would do Canadian ritual.

On December 7, 1950, the first meeting took place in the Twin Rivers Hall.
